Bayview Blooms Garden Crawl – FREE EVENT

July 27, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Free
Join the first Bayview garden crawl – Pints for Plants where members of the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Imprint City, and Bayview Community gather together to tour two Bayview community gardens. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the day in Bayview’s beautiful gardens. Michaela Moss, health educator from Bayview Hunters Point Clinic, will be providing free food demonstrations that everyone can enjoy!
On Saturday July 27th, 2019 we will tour Adam Rogers Garden (1298 Oakdale Avenue, San Francisco, CA) and City of Dreams Garden (1030 Oakdale Ave, San Francisco, CA). We will touch, and taste the healthy resources growing right here in the Bayview Neighborhood!
The tour will begin at Adam Rogers Garden (1298 Oakdale Avenue, San Francisco, CA). Registration starts at 9:30AM. The event will begin at 10:00AM.
This event will introduce Bayview community members to locally-grown resources of fresh, healthy produce by way of a walking tour. In addition to getting in their daily steps, attendees will participate in a calming art activity, learn how to participate in growing their own food, and enjoy a live cooking demonstration featuring some of the produce cultivated right in the Bayview.
Each attendee will receive a tote bag including fresh produce samples and easily accessible pantry staples to recreate their own healthy meals at home.
Please contact Giuliana Martinez at info@imprintcity.org for your RSVP and or for more information regarding the event. To easily register for the event on eventbrite, click here.
